The Effingham High School Competitive Cheerleading squad made a return to State.

The Hearts finished second out of 14 teams at the Edwardsville Sectional to head back to State.

Team members included Elizabeth Meinhart, Anna Sigg, Emmi Albert, Ella Harman, Regan Hopper, Savannah Morrissey, Brueklyn Belcher, Jaidi Davis, Zoe Hodge, Mycha Donaldson, Riley Arend, Bella Kronewitter, Gabbi Kreke, Logann Mayfield and Halle Lewis.

They competed virtually with the routines live-streamed on the Illinois High School Association Network. The Hearts finished 19th with a score of 88.24.
