Area Disc Golfers Place At SoIL Showdown

A group of Effingham area disc golfers competed Saturday in the 2020 SoIL Showdown, picking up a division win. The tournament was held at Foundation Park in Centralia. Mikey Beal served as Tournament Director.

Ben Keller posted a +1 59-69 -- 128 to win the Novice Division. Andrew Miller went +18 to finish ninth in Novice. 

Paul Jones finished +14 to tie for 15th in the Recreational Division.

In the Intermediate Division, Marty Ellison tied for fifth at +3 while Cole Mintert took seventh place at +5. 

In the Advanced Division, Joseph Garland shot an even par 129 to tie for fourth place, while Andrew Burgholzer shot +6 to finish 13th. 

In the Open Division, Mark Jones shot a +4 to finish in 25th place.
