Belmont Stakes winner Tiz The Law won’t run in the Preakness next month, dashing expectations for a rematch with Kentucky Derby winner Authentic.

Tiz the Law finished second in the Derby. Managing partner Jack Knowlton of Sackatoga Stable, which owns Tiz the Law, tweeted the news Tuesday, saying, “Our primary interest is doing what’s right for the horse & in this case he’s not ready.”
