Takuma Sato Wins Indianapolis 500

Takuma Sato won the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, the second Indy 500 victory of his career, winning under caution after teammate Spencer Pigot crashed with five laps remaining. Scott DIxon was second.

 

The iconic race was held in an Indianapolis Motor Speedway without fans for the first time in 104 runnings because of the coronavirus pandemic. Sato became the first Japanese winner of the Indy 500 in 2017.

 

Drydene 200

Justin Allgaier claimed the Dryden 200 at Dover International Speedway in the Xinifty Series in Saturday action.

Allgine was followed by Austin Cindric and Ross Chastain.

In the Sunday race, Chase Briscoe claimed the victory followed by Ross Chastain and Austin Cindric.

 

Drydene 311

In the doubleheader of the Drydene 311, Denny Hamlin picked up the victory Saturday followed by Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.

The Sunday race went to Kevin Harvick followed by Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson.
