Majors, Ruholl Claim Wins at Gibson County Disc Golf Challenge

A pair of Effingham area disc golfers claimed division championships Sunday at the Gibson County Challenge outside Princeton, Indiana.

Hadley Majors finished -5 in Intermediate Division play to claim the title by two shots. Brandon Puckett finished sixth in Intermediate Division play and Marty Ellison of Olney, who is a regular in Effingham disc golf competition, finished 11th in the Intermediate Division.

Ben Ruholl took top honors in Recreational Division play, going -3 in the Sunday round to win the division by one shot. Ruholl posted the win over former Teutopolis resident Tyler Denbo. Zebadiah Berry of Effingham finished 13th in Recreational Division.

In Novice Division play, Ben Keller posted a fourth place finish.

In the Open Division competition, Joe Garland finished in a tie for 14th at -1, while Mark Jones finished 16th at +2.
