Officials said Tuesday that fans will be allowed in for the Indianapolis 500 only at 25 percent capacity, down from the original 50 percent they’d said last month.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway can hold approximately 350,000 fans. The August 23 race was postponed from Memorial Day weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The change comes amid a weeks-long resurgence of the virus in large parts of the country.
