New York City Marathon Canceled

The New York City Marathon was canceled Wednesday because of the coronavirus pandemic, wiping out was supposed to be the 50th anniversary of the world’s largest marathon.

Organizers and city officials decided that it would be too risky to hold the race, with virus concerns for runners, volunteers and spectators. The marathon had been scheduled for November 1.
