The International Olympic Committee and Tokyo Olympics organizers are in conflict over who’ll pay the costs of the year-long postponement of the 2020 Games due to the pandemic.

The organizing committee asked the IOC to remove a comment on its website suggesting Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed Japan would pay most of the postponement costs. It’s been estimated the delay will cost $2 billion to $6 billion.
