Perry Finishes Fourth at Wrestling Sectional

Effingham High School sophomore Jon Perry finished fourth Saturday at the Vandalia Wrestling Sectional.

Perry went 1-1 on Friday with a win then a loss. On Saturday, Perry, who was wrestling at 145 pounds, won over Nick Mason of Wood River, then won over Logan Nance of Vandalia. Perry then took down Jack Bruno of Rochester to move into the third place match, where he lost to Caleb Nix of Auburn.

Perry went 4-2 at the sectional. He had finished third in regional competition.

Jon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Perry.
