Blackhawks Place Calvin de Haan On IL

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed defenseman Calvin de Haan on injured reserve with a right shoulder injury. de Haan was hurt during Tuesday night's 5-1 loss at Vegas and had offseason surgery on the same shoulder.

Canucks Place Demko on IL

The Vancouver Canucks have placed goaltender Thatcher Demko on injured reserve after he suffered a concussion in an optional practice on Wednesday. Demko had a concussion last year as well and it’s not known how long he’ll be out.
