Bruins Without Bergeron For Two Games

The Boston Bruins will be without center Patrice Bergeron for their two-game road trip starting tonight in Montreal. Bergeron is out due to a lower-body injury and coach Bruce Cassidy said there’s no timeline for his return.

 

Leafs' Kerfoot Suspended

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Kerfoot has been suspended two games by the NHL for his hit on Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson during Saturday’s game. Kerfoot will be eligible to return when Toronto hosts Buffalo on Saturday.

 

Flames' Peters Accused of Racial Slurs

The Calgary Flames are looking into accusations that head coach Bill Peters used racial slurs against a Nigerian-born hockey player he coached a decade ago in the minor leagues. Akim Aliu tweeted yesterday that Peters “dropped the N bomb” several times towards him in the dressing room.
