Adams Joins SIUE As Assistant A.D.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Jameson Adams has joined SIUE athletics as the Cougars' Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations.

Adams comes to SIUE after serving as an Associate Athletic Director at St. Edward's University, an NCAA Division II school in Austin, Texas, since 2015. At St. Edward's Adams was involved in all aspects of Hilltopper Athletics and was directly responsible for facility management for all athletic venues, while also overseeing marketing, promotions, communications and event management. He also served as a liaison to residence life for student-athlete housing, managed corporate partnerships and directed the University's licensing program. Adams also was sport supervisor for men's and women's tennis.

"Throughout the process, I was extremely impressed by the department's commitment to an excellent student-athlete experience. I look forward to enhancing the student-athlete experience through events and facilities."

Prior to his time at St. Edward's, Adams served in a variety of roles at the University of Texas at Tyler from 2008-2015. He began as an Assistant Director of Recreational Sports before working up to the position of Director of Marketing, Promotions and Event Management.

Adams also has coaching experiencing, serving as an assistant baseball coach at two different institutions.

A former student-athlete, Adams played college baseball at Cedarville University in Ohio, where he earned his bachelor's in 2003. He earned his master's from Kent State in 2005 and also holds a Sports Turfgrass Management Certificate from the University of Georgia.

Adams, and his wife Heather, have two daughters, Kelly and Kyleigh.
