Kyle Husted Has Big Racing Day at Springfield

Kyle Husted and trainer Steve Searle have been a formidable duo at the 166th Illinois State Fair.

The pair have combined to win two of the $32,500 Illinois State Fair championships. Husted is shown in this Scott Beal photo during the winner’s circle interview following Louzotic’s win in the three-year-old filly trot final.

Husted won four races on the day, including three Illinois State Fair championship events. Kyle drove Meyer On Fire to victory in the $31,500 final for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings for trainer Erv Miller.

He won the $32,500 Illinois State Fair two-year-old filly trot championship with Bee See.
