Blackhawks Trade Artem Anisimov

The Chicago Blackhawks have traded Artem Anisimov to the Ottawa Senators for Zack Smith in an exchange of 31-year-old forwards.

Seattle, Francis Near Agreement

Seattle's NHL expansion team is said to be close to an agreement with Hockey Hall of Famer Ron Francis to become its first general manager. Francis spent four years as GM of the Carolina Hurricanes and won two Stanley Cups as a player with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Seattle franchise is set to begin play in the 2021-22 NHL season.
