Blackhawks Acquire Maatta From Penguins

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired defenseman Olli Maatta from the Pittsburgh Penguins. In return, Pittsburgh gets forward Dominik Kahun and a fifth-round pick in this year's draft.

Capitals Re-sign Hagelin

The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Carl Hagelin to a four-year, $11 million deal. Hagelin was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in February and was set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Ducks Hire Eakins As Head Coach

The Anaheim Ducks have hired Dallas Eakins as their new head coach. Eakins has led their AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, since 2015 and was the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers from 2013-15.
