The St. Louis Blues won their first Stanley Cup Wednesday night with a 4-1 Game 7 victory over the Boston Bruins.

The Blues came into the league in 1967 and it was the longest wait in league history for a team to win its first title. The Blues won the title despite being last in the league on January 2.

Ryan O’Reilly won the Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP while Jordan Binnington became the first rookie goalie to win 16 playoff games in a season.

O'Reilly scored the first goal of the game with 3:13 in the opening period. He scored the Blues first goals in four consecutive games.

Alex Pietrangelo tallied the second goal while Brayden Schenn got the third goal at 8:30 in the third period. Zach Sanford finished out the Blues scoring in the final period with just over four minutes remaining.

Boston finally got on the board as Matt Grzelcyk scored with two minutes left in the game.
