Inductees Into Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto

This year’s inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto have been announced.

The picks included six names including Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils. The goalie put together the most wins with 691 and shutouts with 125 in the history of the league.

Tampa Bay Lightning's Martin St. Louis, a 5-foot-8 winger. He started with the Calgary Flames but finished his career at Tampa with 953 points, 588 assists, post-season points with 68 and game-winning goals with 64.

One of the big names for Russia was Alexander Yakushev. He was a star and later coached. He also was a referee.

Willie O'Ree of the Boston Bruins was a winger from 1957 to 1979. He broke the league's color barrier in 1958. He's served as the NHL's Diversity Ambassador for the past two decades.

Gary Bettman, an NHL commissioner since 1993. He has led the league through a lockout and two other work stoppages. He's seen the addition of seven teams including the Vegas Golden Knights.

Jayna Hefford competed in the National Women's Hockey League and is the all-time leading goal-scorer with 252 for the Brampton Thunder. She was a member of five different ice hockey teams at the Winter Olympics.
