Capitals' Coach Barry Trotz Resigns

The Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals are going to have to find a new coach as Barry Trotz has announced his resignation less than two weeks after winning the title.

GM Brian MacLellan said the team was disappointed by Trotz’s decision, which was reportedly prompted by the modest raise he was offered in order to stay.


Group Hires Tippett as Adviser

The group looking to start an NHL expansion team in Seattle has hired former coach Dave Tippett as a senior adviser. The group hopes to play in a renovated Key Arena starting with the 2020-21 season.
