The NHL’s first second round playoff series is set as the San Jose Sharks swept the Anaheim Ducks 4-0. That sets up a showdown between the Sharks and the Vegas Golden Knights.

The NHL has suspended Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey one game for cross-checking Minnesota Wild center Eric Staal in Game 4 of their playoff series. Morrissey will sit for Friday night’s Game 5.

Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist Wednesday night to pass Mario Lemieux as the Pittsburgh Penguins all-time leading playoff scorer in the Pens’ 5-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
