The National Hockey League playoffs got underway Wednesday night with Sidney Crosby recording a hat trick on the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Meanwhile, the Vegas Golden Knights continued their amazing inaugural run, winning their first ever postseason game in their first playoff appearance and the Winnipeg Jets won their first playoff victory in franchise history, beating the Minnesota Wild.

However, the Jets entered the league in 1999 as the Atlanta Thrashers.
