The NHL East playoffs are shaping up as the New Jersey Devils clinched with their win over Toronto last night. The Columbus Blue Jackets also clinched by earning a point in their overtime loss to the Penguins. Meanwhile, the Nashville Predators sewed up the President’s Trophy for the best overall record with their win over the Capitals and Boston’s loss to Florida.

Despite missing the playoffs this season, the Chicago Blackhawks say both coach Joel Quenneville and general manager Stan Bowman will be back next season.
