Vegas Clinches Stanley Cup Playoff Berth

The Vegas Golden Knights clinched a Stanley Cup Playoff berth with their 4-1 victory over Colorado last night. Vegas became the first NHL team to clinch a playoff berth in its inaugural season since the Oilers and Whalers in 1979-80.

They are also the first of 64 expansion teams among the four major U.S. sports leagues since 1960 to even have a winning record.
