SALEM -- The St. Anthony boys and girls bowling teams were defeated by Salem Tuesday.

The Wildcats took the boys match by a mere five pins but then dominated the girls to claim the victory.

"We really had trouble getting started," said Coach Phil Zaccari. "We could not seem to figure out the lanes but then the guys made some adjustments in the second game. The third game we did not close out the 10th frame and Salem was able to come back and win. Liam Andrews had a strong final two games.

"For the girls, Kassy Dammerman was once again our steadiest player shooting a 422 for the day. We still need to work more on consistency and spares. We were over 520 every game which was a good improvement over last week. So we are gradually improving with each match."
