Kelly Keitel

Kelly Keitel has been named a member to the 2017 USA Gymnastics' U.S. Trampoline and Tumbling Team.  She will compete at the World Age-Group Championship as TEAM USA's Women's Double-Mini Trampolinist and as an alternate on the Trampoline in Sofia, Bulgaria in November, 2017.

Keitel trains at Top Star Training Center in Champaign with her coaches Missy Weder and Mike Van Spankeren.  Over the past year, she competed at the Winter Classic in Battle Creek, MI; Elite Challenge at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO; and the National Championships in Milwaukee, WI to be eligible to qualify for the World Championships.  A final Selection Camp at the USA Gymnastics National Training Center (Karolyi's Camp) in Huntsville, TX over Labor Day weekend was cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey.  Therefore, the Selection Committee made their team member selection based on athlete performances at this year's qualifying meets.

Kelly is the daughter of Kal & Renee Keitel of Effingham.  She is a 2015 graduate of Effingham High School and is currently attending Illinois State University majoring in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) while preparing for her doctorate in Physical Therapy.
