Patton Claims First Two Wins In Harness Racing At Fair

ALTAMONT -- Barak Patton claimed back-to-back victories Sunday to begin the harness racing program at the Effingham County Fair.
Patton guided Best Balance to the win in the Big 10 3-Year-Old Trot in 2:04 4/5.
Patton then went the distance in the Big 10 2-Year-Old Pace behind Sportybae. Patton and Sportybae won with a time of 2:06. Freddie Patton Sr. was the trainer for both horses.
Race three was canceled on the card.
The IHHA 3-Year-Old & Up Filly Pace went to Darla Martin Lohman. Lohman guided Queen Beatrice to victory with a time of 2:02 4/5.
The fifth race on the card was the IHHA 3-Year-Old & Up Colt Pace. Lotta Richess was a winner in 2:01 4/5. Clark Fairley trains and drove Lotta Richess to the victory.
Montgomery Misty was a winner in the Open Maiden Trot. Montgomery Misty was guided to the victory by Jerome Daniels in 2:17 1/5.
The final race of the card, the Open Maiden Pace went to Patches Girl. Larry Plank drove Patches Girl to victory in 2:06 4/5.
