Harness Racing Results At The Jasper County Fair

NEWTON -- Harness racing was contested Friday and Saturday at the Jasper County Fair.

In Friday's action, there were four races with races five and six canceled.

In the Big 10 2-Year-Old Filly Trot, Chris Brown drove Fox Valley Glide to the win in 2:12.

Dennis Gardner was the winning driver in the Big 10 2-Year-Old Trot. Gardner guided Mt  Erie Mafia to the victory in 2:14. Newton's J.D. Finn trained Mt Erie Mafia.

Fox Valley Sierra claimed the Big 10 2-Year-Old Filly Pace. Darla Martin Lohman drove the winner to the finish in 2:10 1/5.

The Big 10 2-Year-Old Colt Pace went to Thebestmanicanbe. Driven by Dennis Bankston, the colt won in 2:08 4/5.

In Saturday's Topline action, Paul Cavett won both races taking ShowStoppin Monkey to the win in the 3-Year-Old & Up Trot in 2:09 1/5 and Rethreaded to the victory in the 3-Year-Old & Up Pace in 2:05 1/5.

Henry Brown won the Big 10 3-Year-Old Trot behind Little Ms Aryss. Brown drove the mare to the win in 2:11 2/5.

Lohman, who had captured a race Friday, won behind Susan Sage in the Big 10 3-Year-Old  Filly Pace with a time of 2:09 4/5.

In the Big 10 3-Year-Old Colt Pace, Bigtime So N So claimed the win in 2:00 4/5 for driver Freddie Patton Jr.

The Topline 2-Year-Old Trot went to Shady Maple Valley. Driven by Ray Gash, Shady Maple Valley won in 2:16 1/5.

The Topline 2-Year-Old Pace went to Barak Patton in the sulky behind Iseeulookin in 2:13.

The IHHSA 3-Year-Old & Up pace went to Decent Sawyer in 2:01 4/5 for driver Chris Brown who had picked up a win Friday.

Two qualifier trots went to J.D. Finn. Finn drove Jungleland to the win in 2:09 1/5 and Ideal With Ten to the victory in 2:08 3/5.
