The St. Anthony High School boys' bowling team openned its season competing in the Kayhok Invitational in Collinsville Saturday. In the highly competitive event, the Bulldogs moved up eight spots from last year finishing 23rd.

"We are already ahead of last year," said Coach Phil Zaccari. "Neil Ritz was our highest scorer averaging nearly 200 per game. Liam also had a steady performance. James was more eradic in his scoring but also managed to score over 1,000. As a team we had some trouble picking up the easy spares. That is something we will be working on throughout the season. Zaine Reiss showed great improvement over with newcomers Dalton Anderson and Cody Pike putting us ahead of last seasons pace," concluded Zaccari,

The team total for the Bulldogs was 4,953. Scoring were Neil Ritz 198-207-197-200-234-158 -- 1,194; Liam Andrews 226-192-187-181-135-169 -- 1,090; James Ritz 186-157-181-155-223-138 -- 1,040; Zaine Reiss 186-122-150-154 -- 612, Dalton Anderson 122-128-127-144 -- 521 and Cody Pike 122-131-1230-123 -- 496.
