Konnir Hinz had a tough day Friday at the State Wrestling Meet at the State Farm Center in Champaign, but was still alive heading into Saturday competition.
Hinz was up 3-0 in his match against Daniel Jezik of Coal City, but lost 5-4.
Hinz stayed alive with an injury default win in his first wrestleback in the 145-pound class.
