St. A Junior High Claims Scholastic Bowl Victories

St. Anthony’s Junior High School Scholastic Bowl team hosted a triangular match with Paris Crestwood and Paris Mayo Tuesday.

The varsity (veteran) team won both of its matches, defeating Crestwood 210-195, and Mayo 300-170.  The junior varsity (rookie) team also won both of its games, defeating Crestwood 240-75, and Mayo 215-95.

Individual scorers for St. Anthony were Olivia Spraul and Tom Unkraut with 60 points each, Hanna DiBenedetto with 50, Sharon Dong with 40, Elizabeth Kabbes, Payton Sehy, Mason Bloemer and Ellie Wegman with 30 points each, Stella Passalacqua, Kate Hartke, Ashley Dorris and Bridget Sudkamp with 20 point apiece and Amel Kohli with 10.

The Bullpups next match is Tuesday, February 21 at Newton St. Thomas.
