Heartland Hurricanes Nab First Place in Snowball Invitational

The Hurricanes captured first place at the Snowball Invitational.

The Heartland Hurricanes competed in a three day invitational meet at the Springfield on January 13th – 15th. The Hurricanes took 1st place overall at the meet over 16 other teams at the Snowball Invite.

The meet was a high point award meet for individual swimmers. For the Hurricanes, Tyler Sparks took first place in the boys 9-10 age group.  Laura Stream took 1st place in the girls 13-14 age group and Owen Powell took 1st place in the boys 21 & under age group. In addition, Gracie Slifer set a new pool record for the girls 8 & under in the 50 breaststroke.
