Heartland Hurricane Swimmers Compete in Springfield

The newly formed Heartland Hurricanes swim team competed at their first swim meet of the winter season in Springfield October 8-9. This was an age group meet with plaques being awarded to the high point winner in each age group.

In the 8 & under age group, Allie Wilhelms placed sixth overall.  In the nine-year-old age group, Amelia Collins placed first for the girls and Tyler Sparks placed first for the boys.

In the 10-year-old boys age group, Aiden Braunecker placed first. In the 12-year-old girls, Alex Ciorna took first place. In the 13-year-old girls, Maria Mayorga Ibarra took sixth place overall. Paige Brown took third place for the 14-year-old girls.
