According to Kurt  Becker, history was made at the Effingham County Fair harness races on three fronts on Monday . . .

Mike Rogers moved into third on the fair's career wins list for harness drivers. He now has 46 career victories at the Effingham County Fair, trailing only Randall Finn (114) and J.D. Finn (58).

Darla Martin Lohman scored a win for the 12th consecutive year at the fair, which is the longest active streak by any harness driver. It also ties Randall Finn for the all-time record in that category, as Randall set the standard by winning at least one race for 12 straight years from 1999-2010.

And Carl Becker broke a five-way tie for all-time leading owner at the fair when Duneside Life won the Big Ten three-year-old filly pace, giving him his 24th career win. Gene Milleville, Carol Graham, and the late W.T. Frederking and Paul Phillips are tied for second with 23 wins each.
