Cumberland's Titus Goes 2-2 at State Wrestling Meet

Cumberland High School junior Keaton Titus finished 2-2 at the State Wrestling Meet in Champaign.

Competing in the 152-pound class, Titus won by a fall at 1:37 over Griffin Willis of Petersburg PORTA. 

In quarterfinal action, Titus lost to Jared Packer of Dakota by major decision 13-2.

In his first consolation round, Titus bounced back to win by a fall over Joaquin Montero of Chicago Hope Academy at 1:16. 

In his second consolation round, though, Titus lost on a decision 5-4 to Key-Shawn Girkin of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley to end his competition. 

Titus finished with a season mark of 33-13.
