North Clay Elementary and Jr. High School will host a Scholastic Book Fair Monday, March 14- Friday, March 18 during the school day, 8AM-3:30PM. Funds raised will help fund a major reading program and purchase books for the library. Families, faculty and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers. The school is hosting a Mega Night on Friday, March 18 during which the Book Fair will be open. The Mega Night will run from after school until 7PM.
The Book Fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers, and other great reads from dozens of publishers. Book Fair customers may also help the school build its library by purchasing books and donating them to the library. A box of books is set aside for such purchases. In addition, the Book Fair will feature the All for Books program, where students can share the thrill of reading with others by donating loose change to purchase books from the Book Fair for the library. Scholastic Book Fairs then matches those monetary donations with a donation of up to one million dollars in books from The Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children in need through organizations, such as Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and the Kids In Need Foundation.
