The Effingham Public Library is pleased to introduce its 2016 Winter Reading Program. This year's theme is entitled "Reading is Snow Much Fun!" and with the cold, dreary months ahead, the goal of this program is to provide fun opportunities to engage in reading and learning. "The new library is the ideal place to visit during the winter weather and find something new to do. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage our community to come in and see all the new Library has to offer, all the new space, as well as activities and ideas available through the many different resources at this library," said Catherine Bailey, Marketing Coordinator at Effingham Public Library.

No library card is needed to participate and both adults and children can sign up for the program at the library beginning Tuesday, January 19. Participants are encouraged to undertake up to 5 tasks or activities which can be selected from a large list of 25 different activities in the participant's reading log. Each task completed during weeks 1 through 4 will earn a drawing entry for a chance to win a mini iPad. Those that complete 5 activities will earn a bar of Divine Chocolate.

To sign up, visit the library Reference Desk and receive your reading log. The program runs January 19 - February 27. For more details, visit www.effinghamlibrary.org or call the library, 217- 342-2464 x1.
