Benefit Hands is hosting a benefit for Taylor Matlock "Tater Tot" as her friends and family call her. Taylor is three years old and has had a hard first few years of life. Taylor has had 12 surgeries since birth and will have to have at least 2 more. She was born early and had a few delays. She had to have skull surgery very early in life, which caused her to flat line and then causing her to have Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Both of these diseases are very challenging. Her insurance keeps denying her some medical equipment that could really help her, such as a wheelchair, a car seat that would fit her properly, and other items that would be beneficial. Not too mention, traveling back and forth to St. Louis to see her doctors is also costly. When Taylor has surgeries even if out patient, she does NOT do well and ends up having to stay in the hospital. Please help us make her life more comfortable as she grows. Taylor is the child of Timothy Matlock and Ashley Brothers (owner of Fun4Tots, both of Effingham, Illinois. Her grandparents are Tammy Katt, wife of the late David Katt of Effingham, Illinois, and Jerome and Laurie Brothers of Mattoon, Illinois.

The benefit will be held at the Effingham Village Square Mall in the old CJ Banks, and old Hallmark/Kirlin's stores.
