The 40th St. Peter Prairie Days will be held Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22. Weekend entertainment includes bingo, ice cream, plus many more games. Free attendance prizes awarded throughout the day. There will be a Beer Garden, no carry-ins please. The proceeds are for park improvements.
Friday activities include:
5 p.m. -- Fish dinner served, ribeye/chicken sandwiches
5 p.m. -- Beer Garden opens
6 p.m. -- Bed races on ball diamond, Sand Volleyball Tourney begins (contact Cindy Lotz at 618-267-6406)
8 p.m. -- Blind Man Drivin'
Saturday activities include:
7 a.m. -- Prairie Days 5K registration at park. Race starts at 8 a.m.
9:30 a.m. -- Tractor pull registration
11 a.m. -- Lunch at St. Peter City Park (bratwurst, porkburgers and hot dogs), Beer Garden opens
11:30 a.m. -- Tractor Pull, local antique, farm stock and open class (check Southern Illinois Pullers Facebook page for more information)
Noon -- Bags Tournament registration, $20 two-man teams. Plays at 1 p.m., Jeep Run registration uptown by railroad tracks
1 p.m. -- Parade through St. Peter to the City Park (tractor with lugs prohibited), Sand Volleyball Tourney continues
3 p.m. -- Fire Box (bluegrass band)
4 p.m. -- Cake Walk, Pedal Tractor races on ball diamond, Threshing demonstration
5-8 pm. -- Super served (chicken dinners)
6 p.m. -- The National Anthem, sung by Kyla Hall
8:30 p.m. -- Feudin' Hillbillys
9 p.m. -- Prairie Days raffle drawings
