Watson, Mason, Edgewood Library Opens

The Watson, Mason, Edgewood Community Library will be open for business on Monday, June 8 starting at 3 p.m. The library is located in the former Edgewood Grade School, 710 Indiana Street in Edgewood. Refreshments will be served.

The Children’s/Young Adult section will be open at that time and a large number of adult titles will be available for checkout. Computers with internet access will be available for the public, as well as a printer. The adult section will be ready by late summer or early fall.

The membership fee is $5 a library card for the entire family. Membership is not required to participate in activities, including the summer reading program.


Starting Monday, June 8 regular library hours will be:

Mondays 3-7 p.m.

Tuesdays 9-11 a.m.

Wednesdays 9-11 a.m.

Thursdays 9-11 a.m., 2-7 p.m.

Saturdays 1-4 p.m.

Closed Friday and Sunday

The inaugural summer reading program, Superhero Reading Adventure, will begin on the same day (Monday, June 8) and will go through August 1. Come by the library to sign up for the summer reading program. There will be weekly activities and prizes, as well as a drawing for a bicycle at the end of the program.

The WME Community Library serves citizens of Watson, Mason, Edgewood, and West and Union Townships, as well as other surrounding townships. The Watson, Mason, Edgewood Community Library is a small grassroots library that is currently supported solely by donations and volunteers.
