Local Sports Calendar

The 2015 Annual Artisan Fair is just around the corner, and committees have been busy planning for the annual event. Like last year, the Vision 2020 Retail/Tourism Committee is hosting an event that will give local not-for-profit and community groups an opportunity to inform community members about their organization and to raise funds for their cause. Whether it is selling items, hosting a raffle, providing information or a kid-friendly activity, the committee hopes groups will join in efforts to promote our community.

Space for this event is FREE to all not-for-profit organizations. The not-for-profit portion of the event will be 5 - 8 p. m. Friday, May 8, on the Effingham County Courthouse Museum lawn in downtown Effingham. The area will be open for groups to set up beginning at 2 p. m. on that Friday. Other activities that evening include TREC big wheel races, wine and beer tasting, a live art auction, Can-Do-Art, artist soft opening, and a local food fair, among other activities.
