Crossroad Beekeeper Annual Bee School

The Crossroads Beekeepers will hold their fourth annual bee school at the University of Illinois Extension Center, 1209 N. Wenthe, Effingham, Illinois, beginning on Monday, January 12th. This year's bee school focus on beginning beekeeping, and will take place one evening a month from January through April concluding with a field day at an area bee yard. School dates, times, and topics are as follows:

Session 4 - Monday, April 13, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm - David Dhom will present on "Your First Year of Beekeeping".

Session 5 - Field Day - Saturday, April 18 - Location of Bee Yard and Times to be announced.

The cost to attend this year's bee school is $20.00 and it includes the classes, presentation handouts, sample copies of beekeeping journals, and refreshments. Those registered for 
the Beginning Beekeeping workshop will also receive the book "First Lessons in Beekeeping". Discounted registration for additional family members is available. The registration deadline is 
Monday, January 12th, and early registration is strongly encouraged due to limited space. Crossroads Beekeepers is a local beekeeping club based in Effingham and serving beekeepers in all surrounding counties. Club meetings are on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p. m. in the basement of the University of Illinois Extension Center, 1209 N. Wenthe, Effingham.
