Helen Matthes Library is celebrating Family Read Night on Thursday, November 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p. m. at the Effingham Performance Center with a series of free, fun activities and performances that promote reading.
Families are invited to visit the EPC for activities starting in the foyer at 5 p. m. with performances later onstage by magician Eldon Roark as well as a glow-in-the-dark juggling act by Troy Roark.
No library card is needed to attend this event, and there is no cost. No Registration Required. Family Read Night is a state-wide event celebrated by schools and libraries to promote literacy.
