NEOGA -- Fall sports practices and informational meeting at Neoga High School are scheduled:
A sports informational meeting has been slated for Neoga CUSD#3 athletes and their parents. Prospective athletes, regardless of the sport and their parents are invited to the Neoga Middle School gymnasium Wednesday, August 13 at 6 p.m.
The evening session is being scheduled in an effort to promote better understanding of athletic policies and procedures. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to meet this year's coaching staff.
Volleyball (Coach Susan Hutchinson) Wednesday, August 13 from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. at Neoga High School
Baseball Meeting (Coach Ted Kerner) Wednesday, August 13 immediately following orientation at Neoga Middle School. Practice will be announced.
Students participating in athletics at Neoga High School must have a current physical on file with the school nurse. Physicals will be offered at no cost at Neoga High School Tuesday, August 5 from 2-5 p.m. These clinics are offered for athletes and students in Grade 9 to meet the participation or grade level admission requirements. Parents must attend to fill out physical and privacy papers.
A current physical for an athlete may not be more than 395 days old at any time during the sport season. The ninth grade physical also satisfies the athletic physical requirement, if it is current.
No student may participate in practices or contests without a current physical on file. Students who cannot take advantage of these physical clinics offered at school will need to make an appointment with their personal physician for the physical before their chosen sport begins.
