The First Annual Altamont Area Ping Pong Tournament will be held Saturday, April 12 beginning at 2 p.m. at Altamont High School Gymnasium. Cost is $10 for first entry, $5 for every entry after (may enter multiple divisions if eligible) Divisions are Grade School (3-8) boys, girls, doubles and mixed doubles; High School (9-12) men, women, doubles, mixed doubles and Open men, women, doubles and mixed doubles. Example, if Johnny is 16 and plays in the high school men's' division, but also has a male partner and a female partner, he can enter all three. If he thinks he is good enough to play in the open division, he is eligible (just can't go down). His entry fee for all six divisions would be $20 (first entry) plus $25 (five other divisions) for a total of $45.
Prizes will be awarded to each division.. Food and apparel will be available. Download the order form on the School Website or pick one up at Altamont High School with entry money and mail to ACHS, Attn: John Niebrugge, 7 S. Ewing St., Altamont, Il 62411. You can also email niebrug@altamont.k12.il.us with information. Entry money will be accepted at the door. Funds made will support the Altamont girls softball team.
