On both Saturday and Sunday February 8 & 9, please visit the "Luminaries for Life" display on the steps of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Effingham. Students from St. Anthony and Sacred Heart parishes created hundreds of luminaries to promote the pro-life movement on the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision. This movement supports the belief that life is a gift that should be protected from conception through natural death. The luminaries are lit in silent memorial to the 55 million precious lives lost through abortion and serve as a beacon of hope for the future of all the unborn.
Special thanks to the Effingham Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony Schools for funding the project. Visit the lighted display on the evenings of Feb. 8 & 9 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Effingham. In the event of inclement weather, the display will be held inside the St. Anthony Parish Center.
