Everyone has a story to tell, and Helen Matthes Library has the tools to grow and nurture your family tree. The library, along with the Effingham County Genealogical Society, has purchased World Vital Records to help answer your genealogy questions. World Vital Records allow patrons to search online for historical records about their family history.
World Vital Records contains more than 4.2 billion records including Census Records, Voter Lists, Immigration & Emigration Records, Family Trees, Birth, Marriage & Death Records as well as a unique WWII collection. It is accessible to anyone using library computers or online from home with a library card number.
