The Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation District and Vintage Tech Recyclers Electronics Recycling Collection Day will be Wednesday, January 15 at the Sunrise Community Center. Collection time will be from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The Sunrise Community Center is located at 1401 Clayton Ave at the south edge of Newton Route 130.
A few of the recyclable items are radios, stereos, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, computers, and monitors, any computer componets, cameras, copier, cell phones, batteries, phones, answering machines, etc. if it is an electrical or battery operated device it can be recycled. No white goods (major appliances) will be accepted. There will be no charge for any items being recycled. Monetary donations appreciated and applied to SWCD Scholarships.
