Local Sports Calendar

The Pink Pumpkin Contest is back!  Washington Savings Bank is thrilled to host this annual event throughout October in support of breast cancer awareness. It's a fun and creative way for employees and customers to raise funds for this important cause.

Employee-designed breast cancer-themed pumpkins are now on display at the Banker Street branch in Effingham as well as the Charleston Avenue and Broadway Avenue branches in Mattoon.

When you visit any branch, you can vote for your favorite pumpkin by making a monetary donation.  This is a wonderful opportunity to support breast cancer awareness while getting involved in some friendly competition.

All proceeds raised from the Pink Pumpkin Contest will directly benefit two local organizations that provide invaluable support to our communities:

- Donations from our Banker Street branch will go to LeAnn’s Light, a non-profit organization that provides support to cancer patients and their families.

- Donations from our Mattoon branches will support SBL Mobile Mammography Services, which provides convenient access to life-saving mammograms for women in our community, especially those who may not have access to traditional healthcare facilities.
