Local Sports Calendar

The Lions mobile hearing and retinal screening unit will be coming to Strasburg.  This mobile unit will be conducting FREE Hearing and Retinal Screenings on Sunday, June 16^th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  The unit will be located in front of the Strasburg Branch of the Shelby County State Bank.  The mobile screening unit is sponsored by the Strasburg Lions Club, Strasburg LEOs, and the Lions of Illinois Foundation, and is made possible through your generous donations.

Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic disabilities in the United States.  About 15.5% (44.1 million) of American adults, age 20 and older, have some level of hearing loss.

The quality of life for people with retinal disorders, such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, is dramatically impacted.  Since early detection of such disorders is critical, persons 55 or older are encouraged to take advantage of the FREE retinal screening.
