The 61st Annual Stewardson Lions Club Homecoming is scheduled for August 25 & 27, 2017 at the park on West Main St. The homecoming will feature food concessions, bingo, inflatable rides, stage entertainment and a tractor pull. Activities at the park are free to the public.
In the park on Friday and Saturday evenings, the Lions club food stand will be open beginning at 5 p.m. The Stewardson Historical Society will be selling Ice Cream and Cake beginning at 5:30 on Friday evening. And he museum will be open both Friday and Saturday. And there will be bounce houses in operation from 5-10 both nights. The Lions Club Bingo stand will be open from 7-11 p.m.
Friday night activities will begin with the Stewardson-Strasburg Community Singers on stage at 7 p.m. At 7:30 the Lions will host a Dance Party/ Contest. A guest MC and DJ will play nothing but dance songs, and there will be dance contests featuring cash prizes for the winners. All of these activities will take place in the village park.
On Saturday, kids’ games will be held at the ball park beginning at 4 p.m.
Saturday stage entertainment kicks off with Thunder Road on stage from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The night’s entertainment will conclude with the crowning of Miss Stewardson 2017. The coronation ceremony will begin approximately 10 p.m. Following the coronation will be the raffle drawings.
In addition to activities at the park, the annual Lions Club homecoming tractor pull will be held at the club’s activity site on the West edge of the village. Admission is just $3 for adults and kids 12 & under are free. Pulling starts at 1 p.m..
