Architect J. Stewart Roberts will present about award-winning and innovative architect, Frank Lloyd Wright at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library on Thursday, July 27 at 6 p.m. in the library’s Workman Room. Roberts, an architect with Johnson-Roberts Associates located in Somerville, Massachusetts, worked on the new Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library building. Growing up in the Midwest Roberts grew up with and interest in both science and art. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology thinking he would go into chemistry, but when he got there he discovered that he was really interested architecture, because it combined his interest in engineering and art. As a practicing architect for the past thirty-nine years Mr. Roberts has focused on the design of buildings for communities, with a concentration in public libraries. Mr. Roberts has been responsible for the design of over 100 public libraries. Mr. Roberts has also had a long-term interest in the work of Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, having studied his life, his designs, and visited dozens of his building.
